The idea of the Ugly Sweater Store materialized in 2008 while spending too much time on the congested highways of Chicago. Ugly sweater parties are a growing trend and everyone wants to have that perfect ugly sweater, but who has time to scour stores for THE ONE? That's where we come into play- We do the shopping for you!

All of our sweaters are unique and hand-picked with an expert eye for ugly. We know that the more beads, bells and bling, the more likely you are to be the talk of the party. All sweaters are hand-washed from the heart and ready to wear. Happy shopping and remember...Keep it Ugly!

Clarissa Trujillo - President, Owner

As a native Midwesterner, Clarissa appreciates the comfort of a warm sweater and the added entertainment value of ugly sweaters. In 2007, her hunky husband was determined to win the office ugly Christmas sweater party but they could hardly find a suitable Christmas sweater in all of Chicago. That near career-ending experience provoked her to launch the Ugly Sweater Store.

George Trujillo - Co-Owner

George (Clarissa's hunky husband) brings the male perspective to the Ugly Sweater Store and isn't ashamed to strut his stuff in a very ugly Christmas sweater. He will be the first to tell you that it's cool for guys to wear ugly sweaters.
