A Little Background

It all started in the fall of 2008 when two friends and fellow carpoolers were stuck on the congested roads of Chicago. With ample time to plot and plan during their daily car rides the two hashed out the unique idea of launching an online store dedicated to selling the finest ugly sweaters in the nation. Their love of laughter, shopping and parties was a perfect match for the Ugly Sweater Store.

Ugly Sweater (noun):

An overly-gaudy garment that is often adorned with large applique or knitted cartoon-like figures and sometimes made of bad color combinations.

Beading, bells, buttons and sequins are sometimes used to embellish the garment.
